i dont know why people even bother buying Other Brands of LCAs...... They are all Knock-off of MM anyways..... :dunno:

It's called $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Let me know when you are also paying for a nearly quarter million $ home .... and we'll talk!

GT
I paid 3/4 of a million for mine, and I still agree with Handz. I understand the whole Money aspect, however the saying "do it right the first time" really goes into effect here.

MM still isn't the only company who makes a good product though. As a matter of fact, i remember a time when MM was the noob on the block.

You really can't throw out the unfounded "fact" that MM>all and expect to not get called on it.

I used to have Grannatelli Ca's, went about 30k miles with them, they never "came apart" on me. I replaced them because I was going to go to a torque arm set-up, and wanted the system.

My BOI (same manufacturer as Granatellis) were crap, thats where I base my opinion.

I've heard the same from a few people, I remember when the issue came up a few year's ago, i ran out and checked mine lol.

At any rate, not just Grannatelli (I don't think they make a true quality product anyway), there are other manufacturer's, like Steeda, Saleen, UPR, who are perfectly capable of making a qaulity LCA for a stang is all.

MM>all, is a load, and I think that was the guy's point. Unless you've torture tested everyone, you really can't say that, and some people don't seem to realize that their unfounded opinion, causes others to go out and spend their hard earned cash. Perhaps on junk, perhaps too much needlessly, but nevertheless, alot of member's need to think about what they really know, what they've heard, and what they've made up entirely.

I mean if someone made a contral arm out of titanium, with adjustable brackets for the instant center, adjust spring perches, adjustable for length, with your choice of rubber bushing, poly, delrin, heim, or Johnny Joint's, and charged 1800 for the pair, should you buy it because it's the best? It would be massive overkill for anyone not running the AIX series, or pretending they were on unsuspecting housing developments....

Get the Maximum Motorsport control arms they are the best and folks use them for a reason.
Avoid the Grannatelli control arms like the plauge because they are cheaply made poor quality
knock off's that will crack in half at the welds save yourself the misery.I wish I could fined the
picture of the guy that had the Grannatelli control arm snap in half on him (priceless!) :nonono:

All The Winning Mustangs Racing in NASA and SCCA are all Running MM or Griggs...... Doesnt that say something?

....Nothing even comes close to comparing the MM or Griggs..... The only problem with griggs is that there products dont work every well on the street.

Maximum Motorsport - PWNING everything else on the Street and The Track.

If you guys wanna go out and buy Cheap MM Knock off stuff like Granatelli and BOI then Go ahead.... Dont say i didnt warn you.

I swear some of you guys on here get paid by MM to post some of this stuff. You always say, "well these race cars use MM or only the best use MM". well about 75% of guys on here have bolt on gts/cobras which will only ever see the street. I have a few MM parts on my car, but my rear suspension is Steeda and it holds 400rwhp just fine. I agree, i have seen horror stories about BOI and Granatelli. But im in the same boat as J.R. Why does MM>all? As I said, almost every guy on this forum has a mildly modified stang and a quality brand such as UPR, Steeda, or MM will do just fine. Dont feel you have to buy MM or your car has junk suspension. I have yet to find a car hook as good as mine on street tires with the kind of power im pushing out, and see if you find any MM under my chassis besides subframes.

Sorry blown97stanger, But when you put the Words "Quality" and "UPR" in the Same Sentence it doesnt make you look too good....

UPR is on the same level as BOI and Granatelli.....

Handz... explain to me why more NMRA racers use UPR suspension? Huh? Can't... MM is not the only game in town that makes a quality product.

well about all these race cars using suspension parts, at my track (atco) there are just as many guys with UPR stickers/suspension setups than MM setups. Ill let them know that they should switch to MM and that those 9 sec 1/4 mile slips aren't acceptable.

Im telling you man some guys on here have to get a pay check in the mail from MM weekly.

Here is the thing i am wondering.... I see all these people saying "Drag Racers Use UPR BLAH BLAH BLAH" but i have yet to see any pics if UPR stuff on a drag car.

....The Reason UPR Stuff is See cheap is because it can only do 1 thing, Go straight.... Without Breaking if your lucky.

MM Arms cost so Much because they Go Straight AND they turn and Do everything in between.

Just look at the quality Difference.....

UPR

The Silly UPR arms looks weak with there fold sheet metal springs perch and Tint Sway bar Mount Compared to The Tig Welded MM Arms.

Even Mine Look Like works or art

Think about it, your trusting your entire weight power of your car and the weight of the rear end on the LCA, do you really want something tiny like the UPR arm?

go to the racers damn website and see then jeez. Tim Lynch is god when it comes to 1/8 mile racing. I recognize a lot of those names. A lot of those cars have been in magazines. If you are so interested in SEEING what they have on the car do a little research on your own.
