These are the non-adjustable version w/ the spring perches & the sway bar mounts. No, the sway bar doesn't seem to hang

lower than with the factory LCA's. Not that I can tell anyway. I was able to use all of the factory sway bar hardware too. That was

good.

I like the mod, it seems tighter and more stable at speed. I still have a small creaking sound back there. I'm going to remove the

UCA's and lube everything up good. I have picked up a little more noise from the wheel bearings though. All in all the noise is not bad

for a daily driver.

Why will they do more harm then good? Whats better about the stockers VS the aftermarket?

Aftermarket upper's don't allow enough twist, and eventually seem to rip the torque boxes off the chassis.

SRT Handz thanks for the info on AIM, I'll just stick w/ the stock uppers. Is it worth upgrading the bushings on them or just leave them as is? I got an e-mail back from Stangsuspension and w/ the discount I can get the MM LCA's for $225.15. Not a bad price at all.

Handz... explain to me why more NMRA racers use UPR suspension? Huh? Can't... MM is not the only game in town that makes a quality product.

Here is the thing i am wondering.... I see all these people saying "Drag Racers Use UPR BLAH BLAH BLAH" but i have yet to see any pics if UPR stuff on a drag car.

....The Reason UPR Stuff is See cheap is because it can only do 1 thing, Go straight.... Without Breaking if your lucky.

MM Arms cost so Much because they Go Straight AND they turn and Do everything in between.

Just look at the quality Difference.....

The Silly UPR arms looks weak with there fold sheet metal springs perch and Tint Sway bar Mount Compared to The Tig Welded MM Arms.

Think about it, your trusting your entire weight power of your car and the weight of the rear end on the LCA, do you really want something tiny like the UPR arm?

have you actually held those particular lcas from upr? i know first hand those lcsas are not just cheap sheet metal. theyre solid chrome -moly. same as i have not played with the MM Deals. however, those upr control arms are damn near bullet proof. and have the appropriate height for sway bars.

He saw an ad pic on the interweb, that's the same thing as having first hand experience, right? I mean, i know all about it's sheer strength, point of gyration, and torsion load capabilities from that pic, don't you?

Yes, J.R. you hit the nail on the head. :thumb:
With any kind of abuse like really hard launches or lots of trips to the drag strip
your torque boxes will be badly bent or actually can rip your torque boxes right off of your chassis.

Stock Uppers Do Not Bind
+1 Maximum Motorsports has proven that the FRPP upper control arms
are the best for the Ford Mustang chassis.

would it be wise to get the torque box welded up then since I plan on lots of trips and some hard launches

Yes, you should definitely weld your torque box and axle tubes if you plan on taking your
mustang to the track. For street use you don't necessarily have to do it.
I have seen a few folks terribly bent their torque boxes from going to the track
it's not a pretty picture. :wall:

It can rip the floor right out under the backseat. Which is kind of neat to say you did.... but better to not do, lol.

Hey GT, check out the sticky in the Suspension forum.

I have first hand experience with Granitelli, QA1, Some steeda and MM parts on my car.
and from my experience, driving the car and inspecting the parts/installing the parts, MM is well worth the small price difference in my opinion.

news flash: engineered quality parts made extra heavy duty, and made from good materials - COST MORE!!
it's called value.

Like JR said, you don't "need" all that if your just driving to work, or for basic street driving.
But I sure like the peace of mind knowing that my suspension parts, bushings or anything will not wear out anytime soon, that they are strong and reliable, and that they do their job well.

and my car feels nothing like it was stock or slightly modified.
handeling and feel is leagues ahead of what it was.

just wanted to offer my feedback for ya.

i have no issues what so ever with upr lca or any of my suspension decisions. your teet sucking notion that one brand is better than all is preposterous. i really think you should get MM to pay you. ive said this before.
the quality of uprs LCAs are really decent. not everything they make is good. same as all other 9878970987 companies making parts knocking off each other.

xploder17s, what you need to understand is that everything MM makes is like Gold..... Its obviously superior to every other brand LCA.

MM Copys nobody....they do all the hard work and research to make there products. Other company dont wanna spend alot of money on R&D so they rip off MM because they know theye did all the R&D and have the best design.
