stangsuspensions plates are now a four bolt design handz

Yeah, i just notcied that they made the 94-04 plates 4 bolt..... they used to be 3 bolt like the Fox body plates.

.....The stangsuspension should get the job done pretty good. I dont think you will have any problems with them..... i think i am gonna spend the extra $40 and by the MM plates

Although there are few products I will say this about...

I would never buy caster/camber plates from any other manufacturer but Maximum Motorsports. I have personally broken a set of Hotchkis and Steeda plates. My road racecar which has full Griggs suspension STILL has MM caster/camber plates on it. Although the stangsuspension pieces look pretty much identical, I would spend the extra $40 for piece of mind.

I'm running Maximum Motorsports CC plates in my car. Never had a problem with them, and will never need warantee on anything.

I've looked at both of MM and SS CC plates, and here are few things I have noticed.

1. Caster adjustment bolts on the SS plates look tiny and would seem like they could get possibly moved under suspension load. Maybe not on the street, but on the track the load is huge.

2. Maximum Motorsports plates look like they have higher spherical bushing mounting point (pictures are a little wierd, I can't really tell for sure), and spacers/shims that will allow the car. When you lower the car, you can switch the shims around to maintain the shock travel, which is vital for healthy and properly functioning suspension. Stang Suspension plates don't seem to have those.

It's only a 40 dollar difference for crying outloud, so why not go for race proven stuff.

This is what I meant by the shock travel adjustment. The kit comes with two small spacers and two larger spacers per side. When the car is at factory ride height, you have one small, and two large spacers underneath the spherical bearing, and one small spacer on top, just like on the picture bellow.

When you drop install lowering springs, you are supposed to move two small spacers over, so you have one small spacer underneath the spherical bearing, and one small, and two large spacers on top, just like on the picture bellow.

Good info Replica

I'd go with the proven part, not the copy.
put me down for another vote for the MM plates.

Great explanation, ReplicaR. The pics help a lot with understanding the spacer stacking.

I have a set sitting in my house waiting for it to warm up and all the snow to melt before installing.

Did you install them yourself or have it done? Also, if you did the install, do you have any tips you could share?
The instructions had me going cross-eyed... lol
