Im doing a bit of wire tucking and cleaning up under the hood and i was wondering where you 5.0 guys are mounting your digital ignition boxes? Pictures would be great too. Thanks.

Mine was mounted where the battery used to be but either the under hood heat or vibration killed it

I believe it was 50 mustang and super fords magazine that, in one of the editors notch backs, they put it in the trunk. Pretty slick. Or Ive seen them mounted under the passenger seat. Both ways are pretty cool, but require lots O' extra wire lol.

I too placed mine in the engine bay, where the battery was mounted. I dont think my car gets driven as much as Venom's car... because my box hasn't died yet (surprisingly)

You prob drive it more then I do, it sits from Nov to April every year. I'm not sure how long the box was on there before I got the car but it died on me the second year I owned it. Just going to buy an Accel this time around.

I have it mounted in the glove box (I know it said in the manual not to do it). Hardly any heat and I think vibration is dampened down by the plastic. 3 years now and doing just fine.

I put about 3500 miles on my car since April 2007... lol
It's been sitting since mid-September last year, and wont really be driven again until March-April of 2012. I don't get home from the sandbox until September, and it'll be in the body shop around that time. I might have it back long enough to put another 500 miles on it.

I put on about 3,000 a year. Hope to have it running in May of this year. When I get another box I want to put it under the seat as well

I recomend putting it as far away from any stereo wiring if you have a radio in the car or you will install little more then an audible tachometer....

I'll be messaging you with an overwhelming amount of questions when I get home. And my new auto arrives.

Under the passenger seat. Don't know why people want to "show off" an ugly MSD box.
