Wow... I actually considered throwing something like that in the car... My idea was to find a wrecked Mach1... Steal its motor... and go from there...

BUT...

1. I know nothing when it comes to Mod motors
2. I am scared of them... Too much bullshit for me.
3. More expensive.
4. Need to modify the cross member. (from accepting a small block to accepting a mod motor)

I'm very confused as to how that works with out a distributor... I guess it needs to be computerized... and that a hole new can o' worms...

Theres a part of me that wants to do something like that... But theres the smart part of me telling me to go the easy way. Not to mention, ford small blocks are proven. They are strong, they make power, and they can be very reliable. Mod motors are just wee babies....

Well the distributor part is in there on karkraft... it relocates the alt. and does a crank possition thing... I'll put it this way... go with what you want...

I'm thinking you can get the same hp from a 4v or even a 5.4 4v with the carb stuff and it would be more streetable than the 4xx stoked 351... just my .02 and that idea is kick ass... who has a carbed 4v?? lol.

if im not mistaken, i read somewhere that a stock navigator assembly can hold up to 600 at the crank before slinging the rods. a 03-04 cobra motor comes with all the good internals stock and is a great foundation, but its hard finding one cheap.
