Decided to buy a nice practical 4 door this time

Just brought it home today, Charger SRT8 with the 425HP 6.1 hemi, Inferno red with all options including heated seats, kicker audio, nav and Uconnect

More pics to follow soon

nice, hows it more practical other than 4 doors?

Compared to the convertible this is practical. Damn lot faster too. Told the family to buy me a new helmet for next years track season since these are known to run mid-13's from the factory

Nice ride Joe. Yeah 4dr and hardtop makes it a nice "grocery getter" with a nice set of balls. Good choice man

Awesome man! Thats one badass 4 door, I agree with Ferocious though. The re-designs look terrible. Those things haul ass for sure. Should squeeze mid to low 13s out of it without a doubt.

You have a new car... Cool.

You bought one of the worst dodge products available though.

Lmk how bad you are kicking yourself when the front end starts clunking, and you need struts/sway bar links/sway bar bushings/lower control arms.

The front suspension design on those cars is really weird. But I do think they look awesome and I wanted to buy one until I started working in them. I can't tell you how many upper ball joints I replaced on Chargers/300's with only 50 or 60k on them. All I can say is if you DO start hearing a noise in the front end, get it taken care of right away or you'll be paying a lot later. I'm sure there are some performance parts you can get that will last a lot longer too. Might be a good idea to look into that. Other than the suspension and the trans though, the engines/ rear ends are usually pretty stout.

First off you have to remember the LX platform has been around since mid 90's so as far as that its 10+ years old. Next 4 lower ball joints in the car, the struts are good buuut, sway bar links and tie rod ends defiantly have issues.

Powertrain, great, costly as far as maint goes but good strong motor, makes tons of power and the trans (mb design) is good once the little oil leak is taken care of.

Congrats, and nice upgrade. Did you ever sell the GT? I remember it was clean but priced really high for an SN95.
