Need Advise on removing 3M tape

Ok. I have the Cobra SS bumper inserts on my car. I want to take them off. Since I have black vinyls to go in its place.

What would be the best way to take them off and not damage the paint?

Goo gone? I started a pretty big thread on emblem removal that has plenty of ideas, so alittle more harmful to paint than others.

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the inserts. Then use a piece of fishing line to slide behind them and pull them off. Afterwards, use goo-gone to get the remaining "sticky" off.
