Ok my brother is about to sell his 94 gt. He's going to let me swap some things out for cheap. I'm getting his lrs upper and lower rear control arms, ford racing aluminum driveline, basani x, under drive pulleys, fully ported upper and lower intake mani plus the gt40p heads and explorer intake that's sitting in his garage. Now for the questions. First with upper control arms I keep hearing stuff about the upper bushings to the torque boxes. They say to not run poly bushings? Any info on that is appreciated. The ported intake has a phenolic spacer in it and I was curious how tall of a spacer will clear the stock hood? Now how good is the explorer intake and is there any way I can get it to pass under California emissions? Thanks for your help guys!

1/2" is about as big as you can go on the spacer. I would not bother with the pulleys. They slow down the alt which keeps it from cooling itself and almost anyone I know that ran pullies(including me) burned up an alt in a year or two. With the other stuff you are adding if you did an A-B test you would not notice, until you had no voltage.

It's rear control arms not fronts. What happened there sucks. Luckily my brother hasn't had any problems with the pullies so I'm gonna snag em. So a 1/2" spacer will fit under the stock hood?

at the VERY least keep your stock pullies. I do not know anyone that has kept theirs for any more then a couple of years before they were tired of headlights dimming at lights and replacing their alt before they went back. Good news is there is always some new person that thinks they are worth it and they are easy to get rid of, but again you will pay for them in the way of your alt.

Jesus that bad? Man. What about hood clearance and bushings material of the upper rear control arm?
