Sup guys, I'm located in NoVA and am starting to refurbish my 98GT. The interior is prestine but I need several things done to the outside.

Driverside Quartpanel
Bumper cover
Full Exhaust Replacemet
GT emblems (it has the V6 for some reason)
New paint job

Anyone that lives in NoVA know of a good place to get that type of work done or to buy the materials?

Also any input on having the entire exhaust system redone.

The car right now is completely stock other than a cold air intake.

Welcome. Your best bet is to buy a new mid pipe and catback. Bolt together and doesn't take to long. Usually pretty easy as well.

if you need new paint anyway, just go to the junkyard and grab a qp and bumper cover.

A lot of people like the V6 emblems and swap them on Gt's so that probably why they are on there.

Welcome to the site and please search around for lots of good info and don't hesitate to ask for more help.

NoVA as in Northern VA or Canada?

NoVA as in Northern Virginia

Yeah that was what I had in mind just going to a junk yard and getting the quarter panel and bumper cover. Then getting it painted.

The car is completely stock and I was lookin at youtube for quality sounding exhaust systems and I love the way this one sounds;

95 mustang gts bassani exhaust

I'm not entirely sure what other aftermarket stuff that one has in it but it is top notch.

You might wanna check the VIN and make sure its actually a GT and not a V-6 swapped over to a GT.

you'd need an o/r midpipe to get that sound.

regardless, 5.0 or 4.6, its not gonna have any aggressiveness to it with the stock midpipe.

Hey my stock non pi sounds aggressive. You just need a O/R pipe and good mufflers. Now a catted midpipe and that nonpi is going to sound like crap..

It would just seem a bit strange that they would put a V8, GT Bumper cover, GT Rims, Fog Lights, etc. and not swap out the emblem though. Here are pics of it when I first got it.

Thanks,

when I took it to the shop up in WA they said it had been lowered. I'm not entirely sure but when I take off from a stopped position the back springs kick up against the frame of the car. At least thats what they think because of the rubbing damage next to where the spring is :BangHead:

It's a truely annoying sound, its sounds like a pop or something.
