I finally started installing this audio stuff in our boat!
i've had it for about 2 months but my summer has been too busy, as freekin usual.

Big thanks to CanaryGT for the hook up from Kicker!!

Here's the list of equip:
KMT60 tower speakers
KM6200 (8) inside speakers
(1) PECVR12 sub
(2) ZXM7005 amps
and all the wire connectors from Kicker and a battery isolator.

god I HATE installing in boats. Always upside down.... itchy from the fiberglass..... Running power and ground... Always out in the sun since they don't fit in the garage....

That sounds like fun.
This isn't too bad, it's all carpeted in there, so not too bad I suppose?
there are about 500 wires under the dash I stared at for about an hr last night.

Got the power side done, I call this the "wall of power"
batterys are in the same compartment so that was ez sauce, now the rest of the wiring will be a bit more challenging :)

Chris, i'm less interested in fish, and more interesting in wake boarding and girls in bikinis.

Those are nice monkey, i actually priced out the forward tower from Malibu, ya it's about 7K....
maybe a future mod, but for a pipe tower I like this one pretty well.
what do you do for work ?

the fuse on the power wire is supposed to be closer to the battery then the amp to protect teh wire. I would flip that power wire around so that it is 12" from the batter and not the dist block. The chance of the wire shorting out is low but still recomended.

I build regal boats. Usually work with the yachts, but when they need help with the arches, they call me. It's quite a process to build them, but I'm not allowed to talk about it haha

Ha, it was fun at first, but now they are attacking me with a million more tasks, awful ones at that (grinding mostly) and not compensating me, so I'm getting tired of it. I know more than people who have worked there for 20 years, and its been almost 2 1/2 for me, just because I like to learn.

But they abuse that at my measly wage. I'm worth many more dollars an hour because of what I know, but I won't ever see it haha

that's always tough.
how's your manager, is he approachable?
if so he should be able to help with that, that's his job!

hey if it doesn't work out, you could come work for me. We do lots of fabrication, electrical and hydraulic systems, ect. :)

Ha, if you pay well, I just might ;p

And the manager is a woman, that has no idea about any of the work we do. She just manages. And thats annoying.

update,
I've been working on this nights, when i've been in town, usually with a head lamp on since it get's dark so dang early now.
Satuday I got everything hooked up, all speakers mounted, new wires run and all hooked up to the amps.

It sounds really sweet, it's loud and clear, good bump off the sub.
ended up turning the sub to face inward, and it hit's a lot better.

however I was getting a clunk whenever I switch tracks? all 10 speakers...
I poked around and i'm just too damn busy to re do all this and scratch my head, so I dropped the boat off today at innovative car audio, whom I bought the reciever from and they're going through it. so I haven't got any new pics yet, but will get some shots of it here shortly.

Anyone have any ideas on what would cause that on an amplified system?
the pre amps split and run separately to both amps.
Each amp is powering 4 speakers....

What kind of deck? that noise I would suspect a bad pre-out on the deck. Might try a better ground for the deck as well as ground the outer shields of the rca cables and see if the noise goes away.
