New trans selector

Decided I would try out a new look for my trans selector.
Machined up at work from a piece of aircraft grade aluminium. Also cut 2 inches out of the shaft and inner rod.
It looks a bit large, but its only 2 inch dia and 2.5 long.
Will be anodized black in the future so it doesnt stick out as much.20190831_161822.jpg

Yep. I used a sharp knife to scrape the orange and white off and painted it with Tamiya clear red. I'm trying a blue led in there for illumination as well.

Nice! The factory setup is BORING! I found an aftermarket knob and slipped a manual trans boot over the lever on my wife's car. Looks a heck of a lot better.

eBay. Just wrapped the bottom around the factory shifter base and used the factory bezel to hold it down.
