Last week i pulled the trigger on a Novi 2000 headunit, bracketry, braided oil lines, and all hardware. It was such a great deal for an excellent condition blower that i couldnt pass it up. I still need te discharge piping, powerpipe, injectors, maf, fuel pump, pulley, and gauges. I figure i can get everything i need before the tune, including what I already have for just over $2k...yea, i got a sick deal! I'll be updating the thread throughout the winter as I collect parts for he build! Here's a few teasers...

Nice we can be twins!

Are you going to run it draw-thru or blow-thru?

Hell yea! I'll probably have a bunch of questions for you along the way. I'll be going draw-thru for now, probably either a BA2600 or BA2800 maf, either 42lb or 60lb inj, and probably a Ford GT Supercar fuel pump...undecided on whether I need a BAP right now, probably not since I wont be pushing much boost, but we'll see.

For now, it'll be non-intercooled, maybe next year. I might run a meth kit for a little added insurance.

Any suggestions or comments from your build? I'm going to need Bullitt specific discharge piping which might be hard to find so if you have any suggestions that would be great.

the best part about that blower is it will be nice and tame at 400rwhp, and if you ever decide to build your motor you can push 600+ with that same blower. Good luck with it all and let us know if you have any questions! Welcome to the world of boost brosef

you shouldnt need a BAP, Bottlefed97 only needed his 255lph pump and the 60lb injectors, has a BAP, but didnt need it at ~520rwhp.

you should be fine with a SVT 310lph pump and injectors.

and yeah, meth would be a good idea un-intercooled.

Thanks Ryan! They sell discharge tube part A and B with the bypass valve and rubber hoses for $280...those are Vortech parts though. I know that Paxton is now owned by Vortech, but I don't know if the piping is compatible. Any thoughts?

Yea this thing is gonna be a beast. I got it because I figure I'll never grow out of it. I can run 8lbs or 25+lbs!!

Thanks for the info! Im pretty much decided on the FGT pump now, and I don't think I'll need a BAP since I won't be making all that much power.

Any questions just ask away man! And as Ryan said before, you won't need a BAP. I made 528 @ 6200 rpm and fuel pressure was over 40 and didn't drop at all. I have the BAP installed and running via a knob in the car but I just leave it turned all the way down cuz I don't even need it lol.

One big suggestion I can make is to make sure the pulleys are all lined up correctly or else you'll chew/throw belts. Also make sure that your oil drain line coming from the blower to the oil pan is out of the way of the belt or has a guard that will protect it in the case of a shredding belt.

We made a sheetmetal guard for the drain line after a shredding belt knocked the line off and sent oil everywhere. Anyways good luck with the build and don't hesitate to ask questions, I'll answer everything I can!

Thanks man! Yea, I read you were having some issues, glad you got them straightened out. Do you have a stock 3.5" pulley hangin' around by any chance? Also, did you buy yours as a kit, or piece it together. I really wanna source the factory PAXTON discharge piping and all the hoses for the stock bypass valve, but I don't know where to get it, expecially since I need Bullitt specific piping. Bob at Kurgan Motorsports says he might be able to get it for me but I'm SCUUURREEEDD of the cost...

i can't tell you about the discharge pipe for sure as you kids these days and your 4.6 modulars are too fancy for me. but i can't imagine its that different, call up vortech and ask them. they are usually pretty helpful with that kind of stuff.

Yea, I'm sure its pretty much the same piping, and it not, I'm sure its pretty damn close. Whether I have to trim some piping because the head unit is bigger, or I have to use a slightly longer silicon coupler to make up some room, I think I can make it work. I'm going to call Vortech, but if it's super expensive to get the Paxton parts, I'm probably just going to by the discharge piping kit with the bypass valve and everything for $280...

I have a stock Vortech blower pulley (3.6" I believe), not sure if it will go right on your Novi2k though

Thanks man, I actually just looked at your thread in the classifieds, but I don't think that pulley will work. The stock Paxton pulley is 3.5" and I'm not sure it the key on the output shaft is the same.
