NPI or PI Intake

How do I tell if the intake on my 96 is a NPI or PI intake? The other owner stated that the intake had been switched to the newer intake, but I wasn't sure what he meant by that. Thanks.

which side does the first runner go to? If it's a PI intake then it will go to the driver side and to the passenger side if it's a NPI. Does it have an aluminum crossover? If it does then there's a high probability of it being a PI intake.

I gotta look at the intake runners. Both the one from my 96 motor and the one on the replacement 97 motor have the aluminum crossover. The one that was on the 96 motor had a bunch of red rtv around the bottom of the crossover.
