alright ive had crazy problems with my car latly. when i start her up sometimes itl jst die or hang at like 400 rpm. ill usually have to rev it alittle for a good 10 min or jsut drive it and like 20 min later or so itl go back to normal. and jsut yesterday it was doing it and when i went to give it some gas by hand (under the hood) it would smoke like crazy. im thinkin the smokes coming from a bad exhaust manifold gasket cuz i can hear the leak somewhere but would that mess up the whole idle/running condition of the car?

its coming from the exhaust manifiold right at the beginning of the hearders. and its white

White is coolant so I'm going to say blown headgasket.

damnit lol well could i do it myself. cuz the shop i jsut called quoted me around a grand and it will probably be more

It just depends on how mechanically inclined you are.

Yeah definitely sounds like a blown head gasket. I doubt you will have any trouble replacing the head gasket its not biggie just takes a while(at least on a chevy).

x2... theyre easy to do so long as you know what your doing... if you have a haynes manual look in it for the pattern to take the bolts out with.. or else youll run the risk of warping the heads..
