wow... I don't think I have anything to say that hasn't already been said... O0 Dal.

I've got a question for ya. I have been working on a decklid for my car and was going to do the same thing. I wanted to shave the wing, license plate ring and 3rd brake light. I have already welded up the spoiler holes and the emblem holes but decided agains everything else.
My question is what did you use to fill in the license plate wing. I figured I could just use bondo but everyone advised against it because of the jarring of the trunk, etc. Just wondering how you did yours. I'm guessing you used the fiberglass to metal epoxy stuff... can't remember the name

What can a guy say that hasn't been said? That thing looks great, as it should sounds like you have waited awhile for it. Congrats, I'm glad it all worked out for you, bad ass car.

It's all about the powa Trey!

actually I tried fitting up those one peice projectors I have, and they suck ass. don't fit quite right, and after messing with it, ALL of the clip things that snap in the hole - the tabs all broke off. LAME, POS, another waste of time.
So, I put my stockers back in for the time being.

I really like the looks of it, but for quality - NOTHING fits up like a stock ford piece. whatever you get thant's not OEM will need fitment and rework.
On this one, I had them rework the lower Lip edge on the side and smooth out around the fog light. if you look at the first pix in the body and paint thread, you'll see that the edge is promonant and wasn't exactly strait. I also had to adjust and shim the mounting bracket... again, this isn't uncommon on the aftermarket stuff. the quality of the urathane is good, it's the dense type and is thick. so that's good.
so for style I'd give it a 9, for finish and quality i'd give it a 7.

Thanks Urban L - it's nice to have it about done and drivable.
it's been a long process, but hey - custom stuff always takes more time and money....
I'm stubborn that way I guess.

the car drives amazing and I love how it sounds. :)

DAMN! I love it!! the sun really brings out that pearl..but its not so much that it is over the top. Definitely glad you didnt go with the graphics it just looks so clean :thumb:. That is :pimp:
Thanks Mike :)
I love how the pearl turned out. and ya, the blue would have been a bit much. however, there is still graphics on the side.
can you see them ?

No! I can't lol. If they are that subtle they are probably pretty cool, I am a fan of the subtleties (if thats a word). Can you maybe take a pic and point them out for me? The paint is so bright its hard to pick anything out..I noticed a little bit but it could just be my eyes playing with me. What headlights are going on it?

Thanks for the compliment :)
for the plate trim piece - he used some type of epoxy bonding stuff. it's strong shit. parts will break before it comes apart.
I'll have to ask what product he used for ya.

It looks clean eh O0

I'll have to take some pix of it for ya Mike. it's subtle for sure.

Speaking of exhaust - the damn emmission guy decided to look under my car and noticed no cats.... or it would have passed.....
grrrrrr.
So I gotta add some, probably swap out the mid pipe.
Exhaust I have now is BBK shorties, prochamber mid with Magnaflows. it sounds really good. nice tone, smooth with no poping and it's not too loud but noticable. :)

aight, yeah I already know what your talking about. I just wanted to know what you guys used, I guessed it would have been the epoxy. I'm thinking, I might as well mold mine in as well. I mean, heck, I'm working on a spare decklid anyways, it's not like I can really screw it up.

Did you guys fab up a flush mount led and spray a little paint over it for the 3rd brake light. That would be pretty cool. Similar to what they do on a lot of the street rods around here.

the vid's not working for me, all I'm getting is web giberish

Nice job. That shot from the rear (the one in your sig) is great. Something about that spoiler with the new rear bumper cover. They look like the're meant to be there. The smooth trunk lid is really a nice touch too. It doesn't get much better than that my man!
