ok, so i was just on the phone with someone reputable and they said that the stock NPI springs wont hold the speed of the PI cams and that its do able but it wont be reliable. Is this true? If so how big of a threat is it to the health of my engine.

THE GODDAMN PART NUMBERS ARE THE SAME!!!!
And these valve springs dont wear out at 100K. He just is trying to upsell.

The spring pressure of the spring dictactes the ramp speed of a cam that can be used with them as well as max rpm. The npi springs cannot handle properly the ramp speeds of the pi cams.
He says the springs are differant.....doesnt look like they are though..
whatever...do the work yourself and you wont have this problem

And I told you, you don't have to take my word for it, call your local dealer and get the part number's. Although my feeling's are hurt that you don't.
Or just close your eyes, put your finger's in your ear's and run around screaming "LALALALALAL LALA LA LA LA LA LALL ALALAL ALAAL LA L AL AL A I TRUUUSSSTTTT YOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" While he butt rapes you.

a "bit"??? lol
and yeah, justinschmidt1 and sn97gtnyg, the ONLY thing different about the springs in the PI heads vs the ones in the NPI heads is the fact that the NPI springs are only used to running a .5 lift, while the PI springs are used to running a .55 lift. up to 6k rpms, this doesnt have much of an effect on the springs at all, even if the npi springs are old. when i installed my PI cams, i had well over 120k miles on my car, and the PI cams ran flawlessly

i say do it yourself. you can get it done (with hand tools, no air tools) in a matter of hours. prob 3-4 hours tops
