Hey yall, i tried the search feature and couldn't find the answer. Do all yrs, 99-04, PI cams work for my 98 gt, I thought i read somewhere on here that in a PI swap, you needed to get either winsor or romeo heads, and I didn't know if the cams were the same way? I'm looking at a set of cams from a 2000 gt, the seller says they're winsor with cam gears attached. Also would these work fine without a tune and with my stock NPI intake, for a while, until I can afford to get those done also? I know to get the most out of the cams a tune and the PI intake will be needed, but I can't afford it all at once and I think the cams would be a good start. Thanks

Re: Which years for PI cams?

Any of the PI cams will work and with those and a PI intake you can add 30rwhp and not require a tune. It would benefit to have one but not needed.

yeah you don't need a tune, but to gain the most from that setup you should have it setup correctly with a tune. Come the fall I'll be selling my PI cams!

yes will work with your npi intake :)
that will make the gains almost minimal because the intake is the major cork in the system. I'd wait to do both at the same time.

x100000, I picked up more than 30rwhp/35+tq with the manifold. I absolutely hate the PI cams on the other hand. Thats why I'm going to a blower cam setup. However, I hear of n/a guys getting good results with the PI cams

Thanks for the replys yall. Blown97 and Droptop both confirmed what i thought, that the gains would be minimal, but it will run fine with just the pi cams and no tune, thanks a lot.
