what all will I have to do to put this 2002 GT motor in my 1998 GT 5-speed? I know i will have to tap and dye a spot for the temp sensor in teh intake. will i have to switch bellhousings or my ecu? what about teh coil on plug system? will i have to do any conversions for that? I have built many motors but thsi is my first modular. any help or tips would be appreciated!

Oh and you don't need the PI computer or COPS, you can reuse your coil packs that you already have. It really is simple as swapping it in.

what he said. you just take one out, put the new one in, and ur done. you are either going to have to use the brackets where the two coil packs mount up on the PI engine, or you will have to relocate them. all other wires should be a direct swap. the intake does have to be tapped. the fuel lines will also need to be swapped over from the 98 engine to the 02 engine (return style fuel system vs returnless style). the fuel injectors are identical, so to make things easy, just take the fuel lines out with all 8 injectors still on and reuse those so tyou dont have to replace any o-rings (and risk having them leak)
