pilot bearing?

So I got in the car to take it down to trade it yesterday...and of course this car doesn't want me to trade her! When I press down on the clutch, it starts making a noise. when in neutral its gone and when clutch isn't engaged it's not. It caused me to miss out on my chance at a 67 mustang, so it looks like i'll be holding on to her for a while. I was also starting to regret it, as I've put so much time into her. Anyway, anyone know what could cause this? I'd rather not pull the trans, but if I have to I will...

What kind of noise is it? Chatter or chirp? The most common thing with clutch noise is the throw out bearing, the tell tale sign is when the clutch is depressed you can hear chirping, as soon as you start pressing the pedal down the noise goes away. Regardless if it's a clutch, pilot, or throw out bearing, you're probably going to need to drop the tranny to fix the problem

ya i figured i'll have to pull it. Its more of a chatter. I'd take a video but don't want to make it hurt anything more...and the noise is at all times when the clutch is depressed, doesn't go away when all the way down.

throwout bearing is what is sounds like and if its that bad you are looking at a new ball and arm as well

really? all three? I'll go ahead and take a pic tomorrow morning after I get the trans off and let you guys check them out. Prob will end up replacing all of them just since it'd be easier doing it once. Should have it pretty easily, got all the tools from my house cause i was home this weekend thankfully lol

usually there is only a chatter when the clutch is not engaged.. and the noise goes away when the clutch is depressed.. i never heard a chatter when the clutch is out..

i am curious to see how this turns out...

well its really cold out today and is supposed to rain, plus the parking lot I was going to use is full, so today is a no go :/ hopefully later this week though!
