PLEASE HELP!!!!..STATE INSPECTION

I'm in new jersey....here's my dilemma.
My daughters car...94' Cobra ....has a full MAC exhaust...PRO CHAMBER h pipe....NO CATS !!!!
will not pass inspection...even tried pulling some favors to get it passed...said the state has been on them.
SOOOOO.....my question is this, on the inspection machine can it tell if it has cats or not? or is it a visual ?
also....universal cats are probably the less costly why out..any recommendations?
if the machine does not read CATS...are there fony CATS...for novelty use only of course.

i would say buy a stock mid-pipe and swap it in for inspection.

Here's another question....will a stock mid pipe fit? will it bolt to the MAC shorty headers, and the rest of the exhaust?

how do i lower it?
