POS Vert!

Refilled my vert top motor with ATF and the crap decided to blow out both sides of the car. Now the inside of my car reeks of ATF 3 fluid. Smells to hell in the car now. Damn it!

So i brought some "Ozium spray" and now im coughing to hell now. That crap is strong. Hopefully it takes care of the ATF smell inside my car.

Im taking it to a upholestry shop most likely. Really dont feel like ripping the interior apart and screwing with the vert system. Not sure if my light/styling bar needs to be removed before you get access to the vert cylinders.

Not any serious problems (knock on wood) My top only worked the first 2 days of owning this car. After that it leaked oil on the driver side slowly till the top did'nt raise/lower on its own. I been manually opening and closing my top for a long time now. So the problem has always been there, just it wasn't this bad. So im thinking raising and lowering the top manually mightve screw up the seals on the old cylinders.

But ya the motor is fine, its the stuff you dont see that lifts the top behind the rear speakers that needs attention.

As long as you can take those panels off it should be easy. My interior is all out of my car i can take some pics and show you if you want.

I didn't know Ozium was so strong. I sprayed a lot thinking it would be enough. Now my car smells like it big time. I can taste it when im sitting in the car. Guess after this stuff wears down ill get some auto frebreeze.

The ATF smell is gone though.. ehhhhhhhhhhh

You will need to remove your styling bar and the two interior plastic pieces by the backseat. It's not bad once you've done it about two dozen times, you get good at it.... I would DEFINITELY do that yourself rather than risk having a shop crack those plastic panels.

Been in this situation before sadly. I blew a line while lowering the top and it shot a fine mist all over the trunk panels. It smelled for a few days.
