Possible Ignition problems?

Well, this has happened 2 times in the last 2 months, my car will be running fine, then when i shut it off then go to start it again, nothing. it cranks but im not getting any spark. The first time it happend, i let the car sit for a week and tried again, (in the field doing training) and yesterday the same thing happend. So i had to get a tow to Ford since i was on base i couldnt leave my car sit overnight, I took it to ford and as soon as they push it into the shop and turn the key, Bam it starts right up. They said since i have an aftermarket chip im throwin a 511 code so they couldnt 'properly' run a diagnostic which they charged me for anyways. So i spent $160 basically for a tow and for the dealer to start mycar right up. What gives? My dizzy, coil, both MSD boxes are good/new and i have all new everything minus wires.

sounds like a ign control mod. to me. I would go get it tested. Autozone does it for free. When you do it make sure they do it atleast 3 times, that way it gets nice and warm. Sounds like its failing after it gets hot.

thats what im thinking, where is it located at? i know om some fords its in the steering column and a dealer only fix but by the sound of it its not.

are you sure your dizzy is good, is it origional? mine had similar probs and finially traced it to the dizzy
