well. my 98 Cobra stock pushes 305 HP / 300 Ft/Lbs TQ.

Recently I've installed:

Steeda Underdrive pullies.

C&L High Flow inlet pipe + K&N Filter

SLP Catted X pipe + SLP Catback exaust (stock headers)

any Ideas as to Power gains.... numbers maybe =] I'm guessing maybe 40 HP if I'm lucky... as for torque... no idea

I am putting down 258rwhp and 250rwt on a mustang dyno. My car is stock accept for MSD Blasters. I put those on after the tune, and I did notice a difference in gittyupidness. With the mods you are considering, My guess would be about 280rwhp. If you go with long tubes O/R X pipe and full exhaust, you will be close to 300rwhp.

You should install some coil packs aswell. You can get just the coils for under $150.00.

with no tune your probably at 265-270hp.

after a tune you would probably bump that up to 275-280 like Matt said.

My pre-tune numbers were 235rwhp and I think 230rwt.

my pre tune numbers with the blower was 255rwhp. a tune can do wonders, we found that the computer was pulling timing bad due to my imrc valves. after the delete, the car is making 420rwhp at 5900rpms on a semi aggressive tune.

can'/t remember exactly what all it was doing, but one of the flapper valves was stuck at half open and causeing the comp to pull a shit load of timing at certain rpm. this was the reason mr car only put down 255 on the first few pulls until we found the culprit.

don't want to jack the thread but i'm putting this 4v motor into my gt and i'm gonna use the stock computer and wiring... so i can use my 4r70w trans. Well i was thinking of using a rpm activator switch for the IMRC's but i'm wondering if it would be better to get rid of them?

Yea i figure that is the best idea... less to go wrong.

You need to put on a cold air intake, long tubes, and full exhaust at minimum if you install the IMRC deletes, or you will kill your bottom end.

They put the IMRC runners in because the "B" heads flow to good down low. As long as you have some bolt ons you should be good. Just make sure you get a tune.

My tuner told me, long tubes, full exhaust, cold air intake, and IMRC delets should get you about 300-305rwhp. That is on a mustang dyno. If you are useing a 99+ engine you don't need to worry about IMRC's. The "C" heads did not use them.

the motor i'm getting is out of a 97 mark 8. So around 300 rwhp with just long tubes, exaust, and cold air with no imrc and tune...

Sounds good.. so i'm thinking around 285 since i'm staying with auto. Not to bad.

The Cobra engines were rated at 305fwhp, the Lincoln engines were rated at 285fwhp. The Lincoln engines have a cast crank witha 6 hole flywheel. The Cobra crank is forged with a 8 bolt flywheel. But the rest of the engine is exactly the same to my knowledge.

The 20hp difference is all in the tune on the puter as far as I know.
