How are you routing your power wire. I have 2 gauge trying to route and punching a hole in the firewall seems like a shity idea. I tried a grommet in the fender down just above the side skirt. But looking inside the kick Panel it doesn't come through to the interior. Is like to keep the wire out of the bay as my under hood temps seem a bit on the high side. Plus dangling wire by hot headers is clearly a dumb idea.

the grommet on the driverss ide(assuming its a 94) where the wires pass through is fairly thick and could probably fit it. Poke a hole thought it and either try to feed the wire through or use a coat hanger to fish it through.

no in the firewall near the top. There is a LARGE group of wires that goes through and it has a big rubber surround that you can pass it through.

gosh not sure with the brake booster. It is near the top, a good 4" and again has a LARGE bundle of wires already going through it. Around the outside the rubber is a good 1-2" thick piece of rubber that you can poke it through.

just poke a hole through it at first with either a box knife or screw driver, I sometimes will use side-cut wire cutters as well to make a small hole. Now run your coat hanger through it, tape the wire to the other end and now pull it through the hole.

I cut a rather large x in it from the inside out because I accidentally slipped through with a pocket knife. I now need a hanger which is at home. Wasted my lunch cutting the grommet and rerunning the rcas to the back. Oh well.

Anyone elses rear speaker deck rattle?

Just pick up some dynomat and cut it to fit between the speaker and the chassis... Also feel free to add a piece of cardboard behind your lisence plate to prevent it from rattling too

I don't think it's the speakers that's vibrating. It seems like its the speaker cover panel or the foam hump trim thing.

it could be the door panel, the speaker, hell even the power window regulator. Next time you hear it vibrating try to isolate what is making the noise by just putting light pressure on different areas of the door panel/door. Once you isolate what is rattling it is easy to fix it a number of ways.

It's in the back. It's either the rear speaker sheet metal or the speaker cover or the foam hump trim piece that bolts in above the seats. I'll isolate it here in the next few days.

Dang, what you running 2 gauge wire for? I ran my 8 gauge wire behind the battery the windshield wiper fluid container into the fenderwell and through the side. There's a rubber stopper right by the door hinge that I cut, should be a big enough hole for 2 gauge.
