No problem.. Be careful because when it pops off you don't want it to fly up and hit you in the face lol...

you have to pound on that guy pretty good to get it out sometimes. as long as you don't pry against the shifter lever there is nothing to break so have at it.

If you are removing it, and replacing it... just hit it with a hammer

Here's the easy way, bolt the handle back on, now pull back on the handle and it will pop right off

Leverage FTW

i've done 2 for friends, unbolt it from the trans and yank that sucka straight up. it may take a few trys but it'll pop.

i wouldnt hit it with a hammer or pry on it, maybe try a rubber mallet.

i just el oh eled at work.
good stuff. lol.

they can get on there pretty tight... try and use a flat head screw driver if tugging doesnt work. ive also heard pushing sideways helps, but make sure youre in nuetaral, not a gear.

I always give the handle a thump with a rubber mallet, and voila, it breaks the RTV seal and comes right off.

the car was lifted so all i did was crawl under and simply push on it with a flat screw driver didnt even need to hit, i did this cuz i wasnt able to pry it apart i didnt have enough room.
