Two issues I'd like to get some advice on.

Probably the more important issue is transmission. My car is an automatic, if that matters. Basically, when accelerating from a stop at a sign or red-light, the car doesn't want to accerlerate at first. I ussually have to hit the gas, let go, then hit it again before it'll go. What's up with that? I'm assuming this is going to be an expensive fix, I'm hoping you guys might tell me otherwise.

More recently, when starting my car, it's not wanting to crank up right away. Ussually cranks on the first try but takes a second or two, always cranks on the second try when the first fails. Additionally, jsut yesterday after cranking the car was 'chug-a-luggin' until I hit the gas then it seemed fine. What's up with that? Friend suggested I put some fuel injector cleaner in.

I'm a complete idiot with cars so please bare with me guys. I don't know terminology so if anything is unclear I'll try to explain better. Might try to get a video up in a couple days if it'll help. Thanks everyone for always answering my stupid questions with minimal sarcasm and contempt!

What year and engine plz?
Sounds like your tranny is slipping. try changing the fluid first. if that doesn't help... rebuild time.
