Sanded, wire wheeled, primed, and painted my FPDM mount then installed my upgraded FPDM.

Paint in the trunk is done and ready for BoomMat.
Upgraded FPDM and bracket mounted back up and looking good.

Is boom mat any good? I've seen it on Amazon as an alternative to the obviously much higher priced options. You have experience with it (If you have posted in the thread about it before just remind me and I'll go look lol)

I'm just curious why the respray if only covering up with boom mat?? Was it showing a lot of surface rust??

It keeps my car build secrets safe from the government.
Some surface rust but more of a precaution. I removed the old sound deadening which caused there to be bare metal. I wire wheeled and cleaned the surface then primed and painted.

Sound deadening and thermal/acoustic mat is installed. I have a few small spots to get but I can push forward. I zip-tied the RCA cables to make it a bit cleaner. Time to start installing the new carpeting.

Mounted the driver's front crossover for the components. I cannot believe the garbage install I paid $1k for with the original setup. Ripped all that crap out and started fresh.
