anyone have an online guide/how-to on removing a 4.6? ive read its easier to pull it from the bottom but im going to do this in my garage so its comming out the top. ive got a pretty good idea of what to do, but i want to make sure before i go jumping into things. do u have to disconnect the a/c lines or can u just zip tie the a/c compressor out of the way? wheres the best place to mount the chain when i pull the motor? any other tricks you all know of? this is the first time ive ever pulled a motor but im not new to the garage. thanks a lot

well i jacked the car up tonight after happy hour and i see how it can be a pain in the a$$. ive read up on the whole process and it doesnt seem too difficult. im only replacing the motor so would i be better off leaving the transmission in or is it just easier to pull them both out at once? i have a daily driver so im not pressed for time so im going to take things step by step, once i get pissed off, ill take a break. ive built a few mini trucks back in the day so i know how frustrating it can be when things dont go your way. anyways keep responding with your suggestions and or tips. thanks!

if time is of no issue then your good O0 as far as taking the tranny all the way out...no you don't have to. but i can tell you that the bolts holding the tranny to the motor are the Major-PITA that i was talking about!!!!
