Put in new injectors..

SO I put 24# injectors with a matching MAF..Buttoned it up, and fired it up..only to have it misfire and not able to hold an idle. Its at stock timing now..All vaccum lines are hooked up..Does this need timing advanced or something to idle?? Not sure what could of gone wrong..I'll make sure all injectors are plugged in..but I'm pretty sure I did that. Lol.

I'm always curious when some says "matching MAF" since the MAF's aren't calibrated. Now a C&L MAF will have a different sample tube and this will effectively trick the EMS to interpret the air flow differently to handle the 24 lb squirters. Is this what you mean? Vacuum leaks or unplugged lines are a possibility and a connection can be missed. Since the dizzy wasn't removed timing shouldn't be an issue but it should be checked and verified. Check that the MAF and IAT connectors are clean and tight. Same with the injectors. These things out of the blue are often something simple that's overlooked.

They're brand new injectors..doubt they're bad. I think I figured it otu

I removed the throttle body..reused old one because I thought it was OK..but it wasnt..lol. So ill try new throttle body gasket

Your TB is not bad, it was either your TPS or IAC

That would be pretty rare. One thing Ford did right was their injectors.

They used Bosch injectors which hardly ever go wrong.

The C&L 76 MAF calibrated for those injectors..Its the housing itself. Got it and the injectors new for 299.99

Your TB is not bad, it was either your TPS or IAC

Im not saying the TB is bad, but the gasket was trashed, and I reused that old gasket.

Your first post about it was confusing. yeah dont reuse gaskets thats just a no no. About the only gasket thats good to reuse are the stock rubber valve cover gaskets. Those can be reused.

Yeah I know. lol so I think I found the root of my problem
