I run bolt on 1.5" on my explorer, had similar spacers on mustangs with no issues, and I used to run 1/4 slip on spacers on the front of my gt to help clearance with the skinnys with no probs...

Spacers are fine if done correct. Maximum motorsports has a good FAQ about them.

Personally have run various size spacers on different vehicle applications and never had a problem.
