So since i will have to tap my oil pan for the V1 i have been looking around. I found a couple fox oil pans and was wondering if there is any difference between ours and the fox body pans. I figure i might as well upgrade to a high volume oil pump since the FRPP unit is only 50 bucks.

I forget weither the fox pan is the same. But i will tell you that you dont want to run a high volume pump with the stock pan. Mine hit the pan and cracked it. This is up for debate but several people argue you can suck the pan dry.

Same im running a fox pan right now. High volume pump usually dont clear stock pan. Unless your road racing I would not bother with a high vol pump

also when running a high volume pump it is a really good idea to use a hardened oil pump shaft. stock can twist easily with the additional drag from the higher volume pump

Just get a nice melling pump from AutoZone etc.

No need for a hi-volume.

Agree with Rob.

Also, take the pump out of the box, remove the bottom cover and inspect for nicks or other casting imperfections in the housing and the gerotor. Reassemble, making sure to use red loctite on the little bolts.

Paul.
