I need to put some steeda X2 balljoints in the Cobra because the stock joints are shot to bits. (03 cobra arms are discontinued, thus getting too expensive). I called some shops, but I can't rent any press to put them in, so I have to buy one. Not really a problem, there's several on ebay.

Anyone with experience in this job tell me what one I should get?

I was looking at this one:

thanks!

I just did the Ball Joint dust boots on my Cobra the other day.

While I didn't remove the b/j itself I would think that with the puller/air tools it wouldn't be extremely difficult....

The tedious part is taking everything off to get to the ball joint itself.

Overall I would say it is not too hard of a job, just time consuming. Make sure you have air tools.

were you getting any signs of a bad ball joint prior to it failing, or was it just all of a sudden?

balljoints were shot when I got it, front end was squeeking badly.. lubed m up, a little better now, but still need replacing.
Just ordered some MOOG replacement ones, 1/3 the price of the steeda's!

Its really easy I did mine about 6 months ago with arms on the car pressed out the joints and pressed them back in in 10 mins with hand tools no air. I thought it was going to be a pita but turned out to be simple.

If they're lowered I would have went with the steedas to improve suspension geometry.
