i did the same thing 2 weeks ago i'm not positive the sw is the prob. but i replaced both anyway. i ordered the pigtail from oreilly's and the sw can be got there too. to replace the connector take a real small screwdriver and unlock the wire clip from inside the plastic and slid the wire out and do the same thing to the origional connector then slide the wire back into the same place on the replacement connector. now repeat for the remaining wires, 9 in all. only remove 1 wire at a time and make sure the origional wire goes into the same spot on the new connector. you may need to remove the guage cluster for extra room. it only took an hour to remoce the cluster, switch, repin the connector and reassemble. easy
