i did my e-brake cable by removing the box but leaving the consol in place. get the rear end as high as you can and let the axle hang. and you shouldn't need to remove the DS either

Fortunately I don't need to replace it. I just need to reconnect it under the console. How does the box come out of the console?

Just rent the tool from autozone or Advance.... It's free and you get your deposit back when you take it back that Cube thing is a PITA. Make easy work and get the right tool the first time.

The rubber pads you see take those out and you will see screws. Unscrew and there ya go.

The way I scewed it in worked just fine. that goofy tool sucks. I tried useing one the last time I did rear brakes and I ended up doing it the way I did it this time.......with a neele nose pliers.

Parking brake is fixed and is in good shape. When I pulled on the brake cable, I pulled to hardand jammed the wheel all the way in the released position.

Thanks for the access info. It was a huge help.

Brakes are done. I put a new caliper on, and it went right together. Took her out for a quick ride. Was very nice, I miss driving my car.
