So long story short. The original build sheet was in my glove box. I've got positrac and other goodies. But car was built for a guy in Georgia so no rear defrost. My? Is can I put it in as I live in Missouri and winter slash train in a pain. Sorry if I put this in wrong place.

not sure if the wiring is there and all you need is a switch/dash/new glass or if you would need to run wiring as well.

I thought that the wiring was there regardless and just tucked away but I could be wrong.

The wiring is all there. If I still had my interior apart I'd look to see if there is a sub-harness. Your biggest expense will be a new rear window. Other than that, you'd need an HVAC panel.

HVAC panel? The defrost switch is left of the steering column on my 94.....

I found this company that sold a defrost grid. I actually bought it for my old car but ended up returning it just because it seemed like a ton of extra work. However, if I could get past my lazy feeling, it seemed like it would have been just like stock.

I'll see if I can dig up the name

Just worked up a quote on SafeLite, says they'll install a rear windshield for $234. Seems reasonable to me, they have coupon codes also.

FYI - I am pretty sure you need to remove the C-pillars prior to removing the windows. Its not all that hard but that also requires you take out the interior portion of the pillars which you would have to do anyway to get to the wiring but just so ya know...

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to check local yards for oem rear windows with it already on there and go from there.

If you live close we can just swap them out

More than likely one or both will shatter.

Plus mine is actually delaminating which is main reason I'm replacing it. But since I'm gonna replace it I'm goin with no defrost cause mine will be parked each winter.

My problem is finding a non defrost replacement glass that doesn't have the darn matrix. So far ive had no luck finding such

just cover the matrix with a piece of vinyl. I saw a buddy to it on his car and you really could not even tell.

I might do that or I might try and use a razor blade and scrape the matrix off before they install it.

All the annoying black dots at the top of the back glass. When you tint that window they always make it look like crap and bubble

Yeah mine has that but the tint doesn't go on it just to it.
