Hey all, I was hoping you guys could recommend a nice component setup to compliment my current setup. First, I am going for clarity...not ghetto bump, truck rattling crap.

I currently have a Clarion head unit with JL Audio amp and 2 12" JL audio subs.

It came with the factory Mach sound system, but I would like some nice stuff to replace the front doors, the back deck, and the tweeters. Thanks so much for all your advice, as always!

for that price you can get a good set of componants and a good amp to push them. Componants tend to eat a little more power because of teh cross-over networks they use so an amp would not be a bad idea by any means, and they would keep up with your current subs better too.

In that price range you can consider some nice speakers from hertz, diamond audio, phoenix gold(some good new stuff)...

mb quartz wouldnt be bad for the price if their quality hasnt dropped over the last several years(ive been out of the biz a while) diamond is always a good choice.

dont worry about rears as you wont need them with a quality set up in the front. spend your money on a nice amp and nice set of components and youll be happier in the end!!

Ya MB Quartz sold out and are garbage now ..

If you want quality speakers you want Focal , Hertz, Hybrid Audio , Zapco , Seas, Audison,

Alpine , Rockford, phenix gold, kicker and just ok ..

I was also told some JL Audio C2's would work well with an amp. Anybody have experience with these?

never used JL components but I have used their amps and subs for many years with no issues. I just gave my son my 300/4 and 250/1 and 12" W6 out of my Mustang to start his first system. I picked up some old Xtant amps on ebay that I have wanted for 15 years.
