I just bought a spec flywheel and spec 1 clutch I was wondering would I be fine using the release bearing that came with the spec clutch or do I need to buy a oem one?

it'll be fine, you should get a oem throwout bearing though. most aftermarket throwout bearings suck hard.

You will be fine with the one SPEC supplies.
Thank you ,I was wondering about that because Ive heard people say that when you change your clutch you should go with a oem release bearing.

The one spec supplies should be fine since they are a reputable clutch brand. But ive heard most people recommend the OEM bearing simply because rather than having a tear in the ring design like other cheap brands it has a hump.

When I used to work at a shop (I ran the parts dept), we sold lots of clutch kits like Centreforce, Ford Racing King Cobra, Ford Racing HD, Spec, Fidanza, Zoom etc..we had no problems using the supplied release bearings...

Well Centreforce if I recall correctly was the only kit that didnt come with a release bearing, so we just used the Centreforce part number N1714 bearing (for the Mustangs)...

Never had any problems with the the clutch kit supplied/recommended bearings on the street and the track...

^ This is good to know, i replaced my clutch a while back with a duralast (lifetime warranty and i was short on cash), the throw out bearing i got with the kit was exaclty like the oem bearing and has lasted the year without any type of noise.

I have used a spec throw out for over a year, and it has worked fine. I know of a member 330cubeGT's spec TOB went out with in 100 miles of driving it..
