I ahve some Ford Racing Cobra aluminum finned tall valve covers that i was gonna custom fit on the 94 (oil filler tube fab) but I'm going to be running a trickflow stage 2 cam .544int/.560exh will rocker clearance be an issue with these? Also can I run roller rockers safely? I have already removed the oil baffle because I know thats an issue with the roller rocker clearance. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. :icon_salut:

lift wouldn't matter for the valve covers as the lift is pushing down. they should clear the rockers fine but your intake clearing the covers might be a issue

you should be more concerned about piston to valve clearance and making sure your valve springs are up to the task

Ok thanks for clearing that up modo, I got a 3/8" spacer if it won't clear hopefully thats enough. Piston to valve clearance will be checked  but I doubt it'll be an issue as the 347 shortblock I bought had AFR 185's on it prior to me getting it (running the same cam) and they have bigger valves then what I'm running. Valve springs are aftermarket dual springs my machinist said that won't be an issue either as he checked the pressure when doing the work on the heads (Ported GT40's 1.94int/1.6exh). Is anyone running similar valve covers?
