Well, that time has come... been driving her for a year, 4 tickets and a wreck later, I'm putting her up for sale this week. Looking for something that wont draw the law's eyes and something that is better on gas. And I'm saving for a bike. so... I'm going for a cheap ford focus. :rollinglaugh: not exactly a muscle car... but its still in the blue oval fam.

I'm not trying to sound really negative, but how exactly does that car attract the "eye of the law" ?

I owned a bright yellow, loud, shiny rim-equipped, 3.5" tall hood having, Cobra clone, and I never once got pulled over for speeding, or for anything else besides having a license plate light out.

I'm just curious how a dark colored V6 (it's a V6 isn't it?) mustang is so attractive to the law?

In any event, it sucks that you have to sell it, I hope you find something that's more suited to what you're looking for. Those focuses can be a lot of fun. :)

damn bro, I bought a new mustang from palmetto, your gonna miss it lol. Least i'm still rollin in style with a stang, you should to.

Also, I agree with hellion, especially being that I owned a z28 with longtubes, ORY, and straight through exhaust, it was ridiculously loud, never got pulled over once. However, you do live in summerville, and that is a whole different world then on the side of town where i live. It's not bad here and in mt. p with cops

Well It may be my fault... there is also a bunch of mechanical things wrong with it.

What I mean by my fault... is i run a few over the limit... even if i'm running in the back of a group of cars all doing the same speed... i get pulled. this most recent time - the cop was sitting on the 50 MPH sign... he clocked me before i got to the sign and said it was 57 in a 45.

Besides... like i keep telling the guy with the Green stang and the black rims ... If it were a GT I might think about buying a beater and waiting till my points diminish to continue using the stang as a DD... but its just a six with 133,000 miles on it... I'll have a full time job in a few years... and ill save up and buy a saleen or something. jk.

Steven -

Yeah they may be more lenient over there... but the joke over here is "Goose Creek cops would write their own mother a speeding ticket" I hear so many horror stories at school about GC and now i know why. lol.

But I've been pulled by GC, City of Charleston, State trooper, and Summerville.

Summerville and goosecreek are HORRIBLE. I was up there for like a couple hours, I might as well have had blood and heads all over my car. Me, Ryan daiber, andrew, and drew were hanging out at the top of the new parking garage in summerville, about 3 cops showed up.

Hahahaha!!! I know the exact garage!!! lol We went up there to check it out... came back down... and three ppl working at a near-by restaurant came over and told us they would send us to jail next time we came back.

We didnt even do anything... you know how your tires squeel a little when you are turning on that smooth cement. it was so dumb. lol. have you ever gone into North chuck on a saturday night around 9? there's a bunch of ppl meeting up at the Kmart all the time.

Not quite understanding why you're selling it! I drive a red convertible Mustang! I get all the looks by the cops! What do I do? I don't ever speed. If you want the cops to stop bothering you, don't give them a reason to do their job. Keep it, and change your speeding ways. It's not your car's fault.
You think you won't speed if you buy a donorcycle? At least if you wreck your Stang, good chance you will walk away! Can't say this about the bike!

That's understandable. I totally know what you mean about the miles and what not.

Good luck with the search. :happydrunks:

Most of them don't due to the fact I won't listen to there bullshit. A handful like i said, I do in fact know people up there that i'm good with, just not so much into the scene as they are.

lol I'm the opposite of you, a few too many tickets in the 7 years I've been driving but only have one in the Mustang so far- which I will have had for a year tomorrow. I've had to get used to the fact that cops suck and if you're in a Mustang you're always at fault. The only people who respect us are... us! lol

Good luck with the Focus, I was looking at a couple a few years back (2000-01 models; this was in 2006) only to discover those years are terrible in the long run. I'd only say try to go newer than that.

I got pulled over for doing 67 in a 45. cop gave me a speeding VS a Reckless cause he said i was nice and respectful... cops aren't pigs, they're just doing their jobs, so remember that, when you're doing something dumb enough to deserve getting pulled over.
