hp wise with a vortech at 9psi, shorty headers, magnaflow catted x and flows out back, top it off with an edelbrock rpm top end and fms f cam, 42# injectors and so on.... stock with a MAF right now, soon to be tuned... all through a built AODE, any ideas?

The stock heads are really robbing your power..

I would say in the range of 325-350..

Well then...lol

Sorry I thought you meant just the manifold.

I would say around 400.. give or take. AODE's rob a lot of power, put a 2.95 pulley on it and get a tune and you'll hit 450 easily. What stall is your converter?

Numbers are just numbers though, the real test is on the track. :eek:ccasion14:

i really just want a car that will run 12's and still stay together....

Your def in the 12's hands down.

With a powerpipe and a dyno tune you will be be in the mid - low 12s consistantly.

Do yourself a favor and buy some Nitto 555R's at the least. If not, all that power will never see the ground.

get a different set of tires/rims for the track.

Manuals usually see about a 5% better retention in HP from drive line loss then auto's do

i cant recall the build sheet to much but it was fully rebuild, new clutches, steels, rebuilt valve body which im certain is not stock, it shifts like a raped ape and is line pressure adjustable.... its not your average AODE, just wish i had the build sheet for it :(

For your HP, IMO going from street tires to some mickey thompson et streets will feel like gaining 50hp off the line, way bigger mod than anything else. Tires are the biggest bang per buck mod over gears, nitrous, suspension, supercharger etc....

i agree.... thats why im going to swap to 10.5 wide saleens on the back with a 315 tire.... then the cobras will be up for sale and i might get a set of DR's but for now ive gotta shell out the $300-500 per tire to get 295's on the cobras :(

what do you mean pay twice? if i could afford to get new wheels right now i would, trust me... i need them, but a 295 is a safe tire size on a 9 inch wide wheel and i need to go through summer with them, after that i'll hopefully have enough for a set of saleens

btw.... summit is a 20-30 minute drive, tops.... been there done that :)
