I found a Borla side exhaust for my stang over at the corral forums for $250. Couple of questions: how much of a power loss will I see compared to my flowmasters? I want to install subframe connectors, I've heard that the exhaust won't work with these, does it mean they won't work with full length connectors, or any length at all? The reason I'm leaning towards the exhaust is mainly for looks, I've been waiting for a deal like this and now it's here. What do you guys think?

There are subframe connectors that are made to clear with side exhaust.

As far as power loss, NO you will not loose any power.

flow crappers have the worst flow.... my dynomax are rated at the very very top of the list of best flowing mufflers.

Yeah I plan on getting them, I'm looking for the SVO covers but haven't had any luck other than ABC exclusive. Anyone know someplace else other than eBay? (I check everyday)

the svo specific covers are hard to find because of licensing BS from what I understand. There is a guy on ebay that has the molds and makes a few sets per year with out the svo writting and they fit great on mine. Don't forget paint and good install could be $500-800 depending on your location and how they do it. Once all the money is down though you will love the look, the compliments and even just sitting at a light on a cold night watching it......

Hahaha I was hoping to do that to ricers too, I posted a WTB thread on the classifieds, and someone offered to sell me his ABC exclusive covers. I'm just waiting to hear back from him. I'm not worried about paint right now, I picked up an svo cowl hood, a kaenen s281 wing, and a pair of stock side skirts, and I painted everything flat black. It doesn't look too bad, it'll be temporary untill I put enough money together for A full paint job.

A while back there was a huge chart of all the mufflers in order by flow and power output, Flowmasters were at the bottom of the list.

If they don't make power over Flowmasters I'll eat it, Flows flow horrible lol.

I love the sound of mine though. They might not be the best flowing, but does that really make any worthwhile improvements in power? Just wondering, not really trying to step on toes.

Yeah i liked the sound of mine too but I'll probably never go back to using them. I don't think any muffler compared to others is going to give you a power increase you can actually feel. That being said, no i would not pick a muffler based on power gains, but on the other hand don't worry about Borla not flowing as much as Flowmasters because i don't think that's going to be a problem.
