You sure can, I think the tank is the same from 79-97 (I might be a little off on the year). The setup is the same just different pumps but itll all work across the board for the swap.

Cant go wrong with clevite or kings bearings. I'll let someone else chime in on the rings

budget rings, Im not to sure about. You could always check with Ford and see what their prices are. You would be really surprised at some of the prices straight from the dealer.

Yeah rock auto has clevite for like $40. Don't know much about ring selection.
