Finished my rebuild a week ago :headbang: .Now here's my problem. I get a CEL no more than 5 secs after the car is running. Also the rad fan is running full blast when the engine is stone cold. Car runs really sluggish, mods are as follows: Custom Grind Cam(similar to TFS2), Ported and polished 65' 289 B heads, over-sized valves, dual coil springs, hardened push-rods, Gt40(explorer) intake, :eek:ccasion14: intake spacer(thanks to 1bad95/Ed), 3.73 gears, timing at 12 degrees(for now), Screamin demon Coil pack, IAC plate mod, smog deleted, 3 1/4 cats gutted couldn't get into the last one very well. BTW NO ECU TUNE. Went to Autozone few days ago just to find out they only read 96+ cars(ODBII). So today i picked a code reader from Oreilly's(the small yellow one) and it only pulls a 117(KOEO) , so I go ahead and (KOER) and it throws a 998 followed by that same 117( "Engine coolant temperature sensor below minimum voltage").I did the KOEO/KOER test again just in case and got the same results. I guess the 998 would explain why even with all those mods, the car feels slower than pond water. Does that one sensor do that much damage or could it be something else.

:laughing5: NEVERMIND!!! Looked in my Haynes and found this is in VERY FINE print. "Caution: Handle the coolant sensor with care. Damage to this sensor will affect the operation of THE ENTIRE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM." Upon closer inspection, i found this

I'll replace both. Thanks to the scan tool, I would've never figured it to be that small sensor. I initially thought my o2 sensors were going belly up but they're fairly new and i'm not running rich. Learning something new every day.
