Last night I was driving in my 95 GT with AC on. Suddenly the AC didn't give any cool air and I started smelling a stink like a burning smell. I pulled over and opened the hood slowly and found the compressor giving smoke. Turned off the AC right away and switched off the car.
I then brought loads of water and got the compressor to cool down. Took it to the mechanic who actually had to work on the steering of the car, told him about the problem and he said it might be the compressor clutch. He will look into it.
My question is, why did this happen? My cousin said that I accelerated harsh with AC on that's why it happened. Isn't the car supposed to handle acceleration? On top of that I didn't race a bit, I was cruising and I never do that, it's too precious to destroy!
*Guys I'm in the middle east so I need AC here, it's too hot!*
