Gas station my check coolant light came on, so when i got there i took the cap off and the bottle and it was empty. So i refilled it and looked under the car and its just pouring out from the back side of the motor right down on the exhaust. Is there some kinda heater hose down there? If there is is it a easy fix are do i need to take it to a shop? Any input is good input. Thanks

You could have blew a frost plug out even. If its pouring out like you said I don't think it could be a head gasket but who knows

Have you checked in the valley to see if there's any coolant there? If so it's more than likely an intake gasket. When I had a pi intake on npi heads it never wanted to seal correctly and did the same thing. I'm guessing an intake gasket where the water jacket is though.

When i had this problem my head was pitted and uneven because of the pitting.

hm. thats a new one in my book.

chances are its a heater hose failure. passenger side, $12.00 fix.

freeze plugs do fail (some say if you use tap water in your coolant mix, it happens faster as the minerals speed up rusting, but i have no idea how that makes any sense. .. whatever.) but its so rare. especially for a factory-placed freeze plug.

anyways, it will most likely be a cheep fix. I wouldnt worry too much about it. obviously somethign catastrophic could have happened, but thats was more unlikely than something simple.

keep us posted!

take that shit back. make them fix it again. something could have gone horrifically wrong, for all you know. Did they drop something into a coolant passage? Did sealant get into the system and clog the thermostat? etc. etc. etc.

I droped it off this morning. I just want down there and he said it running fine. I ask him where is all the coolant going then. he said it must of had a air pocket. I put in about 2 cups of coolant in it yesterday and this morning the check coolant light was back on. It was low.

So i just picked it up, so its not leaking now but its still running hotter. Do you think maybe it could be running hotter because of the new thermostat? It came with the manifold. Maybe its a cheap crapy one.
