I LOVE everything but the flow of the headlights and grill, but the front fender back is WAY sexier than the current cars.

Not gonna lie, it's ugly as hell. Just like nearly every mustang made on the S197 platform... I'm very ready for a new generation. I just hope that ford either goes way back, (or sn-95 platform) or does a complete restyling. I really dislike the way the newer mustangs look.

The SN95 was a winning platform... shoulda stuck with it.

Seriously 94-98 was the best body style ever. Just like a women it has curves in the the right places. I will always own an SN, I'll just swap the motor I want into the body.

Agreed, GT500 bumper looks better! Overall, I think the car looks pretty good.

Hate to be a nitpicker, but the SN95 actually isn't a platform, it's a body style. the platform from 1979-2004 was called the Fox-4 platform, and was shared by such genius as the Granada and Fairmont...

:)

I really think this looks good though. It's muscular, has nice curves, and classic style. I think it looks sportier and tougher than the current bodystyle.

It's just the front end that sucks.

Not really feeling the 2010 bodystyle either. S197's are only "big" relative to earlier Mustangs, but the front end has me thinking truck, not sporty.

Mid '90s Ford design = FTW
Current Ford design = FTMFL

But hey it could always be worse- what if the Probe was made the new Mustang and the SN95 (Fox-4) was left on the cutting floor? Would we even have the S197 to whine about?

ask a S197 forum and get an answer, ask a forum full of sn95s, guess what? lol

I personally think the new style of Mustangs look pretty sharp. Of course the V6 models always dumb them down, but the GT+ are decently agressive. The fronts are bulky and tough, not skinny and wedged. Very ballsy out the gate. Interior feels very open and spacious (minus backseat legroom) compared to other models. The shifter is short and your hand falls into place.
I do like the new bumper in the pic. I wasnt really a fan of the humongous headlamps in the GT, nor the tiny retarded reading glasses on the v6 model, so I like the elimination of them. The theme for everything in the world right now is retro. GM, Chrylser, and Ford are all doing it and I think the S197 version accomplishes that very well.

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. Looks like what a Mustang is supposed to look like. Might I remind you guys that Foxes and
SN-95 shared little characteristics of the original. It looks ready for some personal body mods and then turn up the heat with some pony action.

My car looked like ass when I first bought it. Now it looks like a fine piece of ass... Tell me if I'm wrong.

well, the only thing i appreciate in this body style is the slight flare in the quarter panel. i think this should have been involved in the s197 from the beginning. overall, i think its...ok...personally, i would have liked to see the headlights the same size and shape as the 05, just pushed back a tad into the front end, creating a more defined grille area, and push the center fog lights as far outside the grille as possible. i belive agent47 released a grille that moves the lights outward, but id like to see that factory...basically, a more classic boss kinda look. maybie push the rear windshield area back, sortening the trunk hatch for a more 1968 fastback look. no spoiler.
