I found a great deal on a Carbonfiber S281 spoiler, just wondering how everything would think it would look on my car if left unpainted? thought it would be kind of unique

I think it would be different, and if you don't like it you can always paint it the color of the car. How much do they want for it?

Yeah, i'm praying it looks/fits alright. they do offer a refund, so i can return it if it's junk. i saw a few other people who had purchased the same spoiler, and they had positive feedback, so that offers a little comfort, haha. Definitely unique tho

It'd be interesting. Carbon Fiber is one of those things that I like, but it has to be in the right amount. You'll need it somewhere else to tie it together IMHO. Check out dafizuck's (might be off on the name) build thread. It might be a few pages back but he put on a Carbon Fiber hood and painted the sides of it while leaving the middle piece exposed and it looked pretty sweet. It'd def tie the wing into everything.

this is kind of interesting as well...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-9...e_Car_Parts&hash=item1e5eaf4bd8#ht_500wt_1182

The key is to not go overboard though. I think a Hood AND a Wipercowl would be too much. I also think that a plain Carbon Fiber hood without the sides painted is just too much. But this is all my personal preference. If you like it, go for it.

i def. plan on painting the sides, no doubt about that. and i would'nt do the wiper cowl and hood, haha, that would be too much

Notice the Carbon Fiber trim on the rear piece.

dafizuck always had a good idea for different things that still looked great. I wish he had finished it with the Saleen bumper and Roush side skirts, it would have looked so mean and def not fit the cookie-cutter cars you see.

yeah, def. looks different, if he finished it, if def. would have looked amazing i agree

I think that spoiler looks awesome...especially for the price, I'm interested to see it on the car. If it fits I'll probably get one too.

i like the hood idea but i've never been much of a fan of carbon fiber as a finish. i love the weight saving aspect though

I like it, I also like when they are painted lightly with the cars color so that the CF pattern shows through but it still has the hue of the cars color. Almost like a tinted clear.
