Started having an issue tonight please read

So my car started making a loud clunking noise repetitively, and I felt it in my shifter, but when I pushed the clutch down it went away? Throw out bearing?!

+1 Most likely the retainer. I had the same problem in my 98.

i use to have an extra one eons ago. i got a tko-600 and long forgot what a t-45 was.
