where does it say what gear ratio you have?

There will also be a tag on the rear diff cover which clearly labels what gears are inside. Why are you worrying about the factory gears? Plain simple...just get rid of them and upgrade.

Alot of 5 spd and aod came with 2.73, some came with 3.08 like my convertible.

Which axle code do you have on your door sticker????

i havnet seen any problems with stangs and 4.10's your pushing like 2700 rpms on the highway...if thats scary then i dont know what yo tell you...

i was not aware there was a 3.85 gear option :dunno:

The rpm's are pretty high on the highway and his MPG will be horrible.
3.55's or 3.73's are the best highway gears.
