those new 335s are good for low 13s bone stock...you really arent gonna beating too many of them without some serious mods

The new m3s are fast cars....supposed to be around 13.0 give or take

actually the new m3 goes faster than 13's stock..

the old 3.3 inline 6 with 333hp went 13's

The new 08 m3 has 4.0 liter v8 with 414hp

couple magazines got mid to low 12's with them

1 magazine ran 12.5@115 with a stock new 1. there v8's now they got smart

and motortrend which is the slowest posted time yet ive seen was 12.9@111

3600 ft., corrected elevation at the local strip usually is about 7000 ft.

wow that sucks, the track I go to is 90ft above sea level.

I have yet to race a BMW at the track or on the street, maybe there are less of them around b/c everyone from Maine is poor :hammer: I have raced my fair share of imports, new GTO's Corvette's and Camaro's

I don't understand what you just said...

You're at an actual elevation of 3600 ft. but at the track it's 7000? How is that?

My track in Colorado (Bandimere) is right around 6,200 ft. actual elevation. What would it be "corrected"? And what does "corrected" mean?

My car sucks at this elevation.

elevation sucks for yall. I love where my swamps, my track is BELOW sea level, so you can only imagine how fast we go :coolsmiley:

And the 08 m3's are nasty. I think it's the 5 series that got the same v8, but twin turbocharged. My buddy who's a bmw tech said it will flat out haul some serious ass

...and I still haven't gotten my answer...

How can 3600 ft above sea level be adjusted to 7000 ft at the track? That makes no sense to me.

Is this BULL or is there something I don't know? School me... :dunno:

I went to the track last night for the first time in the Cobra and the for first time in about 4 years. Aparently, I can't drive. My best of 10 runs was a 14.44ET. A experimented with launch and shift point. All 10 runs fell between 14.7 and 14.4ET. My car a Mac longtube exhaust and a 3.73. I was expecting tp be faster. :dunno:

What was your 60' time and your trap speed? With tires and driving you should be into the 13s solid.

Best 60' was 2.114s and best trap was 97.190MPH. I really thought this car should break into a high 13 too. I'm on 255/45-17 Kumho Ecsta MX tires (stiff sidewalls).

the sad truth, 3.5L beats 5.0 L. :whip:

3.5>5.0>4.6

5.8>3.5>5.0>4.6

the 335i is a 3.0 twin turbo and the m3 has a 4.0 v8....just so you guys know.

the 08's have the 4.0, but the old ones had the 3.5. A well built 4.6 3v/4v will give anything hell, same with a 5.0, but a 5.8 mostly stock just with cheapo build will kick some serious ass
